Welcome to Luton Someries Rotary Club

someries.jpgThe Rotary Club of Luton Someries was formed in 1993 and takes its name from Someries Castle in Luton.

This website is for members of the public and other Rotarians to see what we do - and is also a working site for the club's members, so some areas are restricted. Our Committee News and News sections contain information on club activities.

Please come and join us for breakfast on a Friday morning. If possible, could you inform us before the event; then we can ensure there's enough food and a place for you to sit! Our Contact Us page has the relevant phone numbers or email addresses.

The residents of one of our refuges were extremely thrilled to see a group of people turn up in their garden getting down to digging and planting at last.

The group was watched carefully by a small person of two years who told me with great excitement that "the ladies and gentleman were putting pretty flowers in that would come up when the sun came back after Christmas."

Her mother and the other women also were very excited at the change in the look of the space, the new shrubs and the fact that now it was easy to go into the garden to hang the washing up.

As always they were all very touched that someone cared enough to spend time working for them and the process made them feel that they were not second class any more, raising their self esteem no end. So thank you so very much to those brave Rotarians who faced the weather and stuck in there.
