Welcome to Luton Someries Rotary Club

someries.jpgThe Rotary Club of Luton Someries was formed in 1993 and takes its name from Someries Castle in Luton.

This website is for members of the public and other Rotarians to see what we do - and is also a working site for the club's members, so some areas are restricted. Our Committee News and News sections contain information on club activities.

Please come and join us for breakfast on a Friday morning. If possible, could you inform us before the event; then we can ensure there's enough food and a place for you to sit! Our Contact Us page has the relevant phone numbers or email addresses.

Five Clubs Golf Champs! Print E-mail

Monday June 25th and Someries face up to a day of storms and driving rain as all the forecasts predict, to play in the annual Luton Five Clubs Golf Day at the South Beds Golf Club.

With Bob Wiles, Paul Walker, Nick Vigor and Henry (the lone ranger) Richardson in the team it was as early as 9.00am that one member started to panic but...

No rain shone on our parade as we scooped most of the prizes.

Longest drive - nearly all the way into the centre of Luton was Paul Walker but due to an evil rule ruling had to handover his prize to the second longest.

Team prize to us.

National knockout win against Luton Chiltern - 3 down with 5 to go and a win by 1 on the last.

And that's about it.

(oh yes - someone who is too modest to admit it won the individual trophy)

The Lone Ranger
