Welcome to Luton Someries Rotary Club

someries.jpgThe Rotary Club of Luton Someries was formed in 1993 and takes its name from Someries Castle in Luton.

This website is for members of the public and other Rotarians to see what we do - and is also a working site for the club's members, so some areas are restricted. Our Committee News and News sections contain information on club activities.

Please come and join us for breakfast on a Friday morning. If possible, could you inform us before the event; then we can ensure there's enough food and a place for you to sit! Our Contact Us page has the relevant phone numbers or email addresses.

cathyaizlewoodinduction.jpgMrs Cathy Aizlewood has recently become the newest member of Luton Someries Rotary Club.  Born in Dunstable, she has lived in Luton since marrying in 1973.

A former teacher, she left the profession in 2007 after a career of 32 years spent at Cardinal Newman School, Icknield High School and Barnfield College, teaching mainly secretarial, and later IT, skills but other subjects, particularly food.

She now works part-time in a school office which allows time for her new hobbies of ballroom dancing, attending the gym and meeting friends for lunch, in addition to her more established pastimes of travelling around the country for antique fairs and shopping.

We are sure that her experiences of teaching and teenagers will help Someries Club within their Community remit, and wish Cathy the warmest of welcomes!
